Department of Labor Economics and HR Management

Mission: training of highly qualified bachelors, specialists and masters. Who will be demanded on an international labor market.Supporting of scientific activities of teaching staff.

Labor Economics and Human Resources Management Departmentwas created in 1945 and is one of the oldest in University.

During all these years was graduated one generation of specialists, Masters of Sciences and Doctors of Sciences in the field of Labor Economics by the Department.They are working for needs of national economy of the Former Soviet Union, Russian Federation, and some foreign countries. M. Topilin – the Head of Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, T. Golikova - President of Court of Auditors of the Russian Federation, M. Magomedov – Deputy Director of Administration of the President of the Russian Federation etc.

Over a period of 7 years the academic teaching staff was extended. Nowadays 63 teachers work at the Department, among them 20 Doctors of Sciences and 33 Masters of Sciences. Young teachers are recruited from ex-graduates of the Department.

Labor Economics and Human Resources Management Department implement 3 bachelors’ programmes as:

  • Economics of Social and Labor Relations;
  • Social Work;
  • Human Resources Management.

And two masters’ programmes:

  • Strategic Human Resource Management of the organization;
  • Personnel Economics (English and Russian programme).
